Why? Link to heading

Using a password manager is good opsec. However, we might prefer to remember some passwords ourselves. Every time I login to a banking app a pop-up appears saying 🔑 Save password to Bitwarden service?
I want to get rid of that.

Setup Link to heading

This guide should work on most Android devices. I’m using a Samsung device on OneUI 8.0 (Android 16) that has Bitwarden (v2025.12.0) as the default password manager service.

How? Link to heading

Go to Settings -> Auto-fill -> Blocked domains.

The URIs here will be ignored for auto-fill and auto-save. To block an app get its AppID, prepend it with androidapp://, and add to the list.

  • Whats an AppID? Where to find it?
AppID is an app’s unique name used in Android. For apps downloaded from Google Play Store or F-Droid: go to the app’s page, click on share, and copy the part that looks like a reverse domain.
