We, NKÜ Cyber Security Society, organized a Linux Bootcamp. As the lecturer, I am grateful for the chance of meeting people interested in these fields. We talked and argued about:
- Operating system essentials
- How the internet protocol (IPv4) works
- Why Linux is essential for the modern web
- Importance of free (libre) software
- Server maintenance tips and tricks.
- Cybersecurity essentials
- What is “recon”
Linux was the main focus and everyone got to experience and experiment with virtual machines. Including setting up a Linux environment and an HTTP server!
